Network Hardware Resale Receives ISO 9001:2000 and Coveted TL 9000 Certifications for Telecommunications Industry Best Practices
Earning Prestigious Certifications Validates NHR’s Unwavering Dedication to Providing the Highest Quality Levels of Procurement, Refurbishment Services
Santa Barbara, Calif. ─ April 1, 2008 ─ Network Hardware Resale (NHR), the leading provider of pre-owned and new networking equipment, today announced it has been awarded ISO 9001:2000 and TL 9000 certifications for its North America operations by the international quality certification firm NSF-ISR. The governing bodies for the certifications are the International Standards Organization and the Quality of Excellence for Suppliers of Telecommunications (QuEST) Forum, respectively. This prestigious recognition serves to validate NHR’s demonstrated ability to provide the highest quality levels of procurement and refurbishment services for the telecommunications industry worldwide.
Since 1998, QuEST Forum has pursued a goal of global telecommunications quality and industry-wide performance excellence through its TL 9000 standard. TL 9000 defines the telecommunications quality management system requirements for the design, development, production, delivery, installation and maintenance of products and services. As a result, earning TL 9000 certification ensures that those suppliers to the telecommunication industry protect hardware and service integrity while seeking continual improvement in their business and operational processes.
To qualify for the highly valued TL 9000 certification, NHR provided full documentation of its quality control procedures and produced a variety of process, service and product measurements. This information was evaluated and compared to TL 9000 standards, which are based on pre-defined metrics.
"During the audit process NHR proved repeatedly that its standards and processes compare favorably to much larger telecom organizations,” says Jo Ann McCann, QMS lead auditor for NSF-ISR. “Successfully passing its certification audit is clear proof that NHR has done an outstanding job of integrating TL 9000 standards into its business model to ensure the highest levels of quality procurement and refurbishment services"
According to Bryan Siever, vice president of global operations for Network Hardware Resale, earning TL 9000 certification exemplifies NHR’s commitment to delivering excellence in all levels of its operational disciplines. "Earning this well-respected industry honor sends a clear, objective message to our customers that they can rely on NHR to deliver best-in-class levels of process quality in all our products and services," he says. "All aspects of our order management, fulfillment, testing and packaging procedures meet the rigorous industry certification criteria. Our lean, adaptive, collaborative culture is grounded in business intelligence and tenacious customer focus."
In addition to receiving ISO 9001:2000 and TL 9000 certifications, NHR has been accepted for membership into the QuEST Forum, the organization of telecommunication industry leaders that help develop a variety of industry standardization procedures, including TL 9000. Becoming a member also permits NHR to benchmark its monthly and annual performance data against other competing organizations.
NHR serves more than 10,000 customers worldwide, including Global 1000 organizations, small and mid-sized enterprises, government entities, educational institutions, healthcare organizations and telecommunications service providers. The company currently offers a full range of used, new-surplus and new network equipment for production networks, disaster recovery, testing and sparing.
