What Happens During a Global Merger

Because our customers are always top of mind, we wanted to share a couple recent highlights on how our team is working to constantly improve and innovate to meet your needs. The merger of SMS and Curvature – two of the biggest independent IT solutions providers in the world – isn’t something that happened overnight. It was a process that called on the same dedication and commitment to excellence that helped build both companies. This process continues to develop in our offices across the globe.

Last week, across the street from our European headquarters in Amsterdam, we held our first SMS | CURVATURE sales kickoff. Employees flew in from the UK and Denmark to join our local team in Amsterdam for two days packed with education, collaboration, best practices, and even a couple special guest speakers.

Joining us from the leading industry analyst firm IDC were Rob Brothers, Program Vice President, Software and Hardware Support and Deployment Services, and Chris Barnard, Vice President, European Telecommunications and Networking. Rob spoke to our team about market and industry trends in maintenance and support, and what this all means for a company like SMS | CURVATURE.

The travel, the invitation to include outside experts, and the time allotted to take a breath and focus are all part of the buildup around our new, merged company. And it’s been quite a build. Together, we are able to offer more of our best-in-class services, more hardware options, and more professional services that keep customers’ equipment up and running 24/7. If you’re wondering what that means in terms of numbers, you can read about those details here. But the long and short of it is this: This merger has created the leader for global IT solutions, providing customers with world-class IT services and products.

Now we can provide global end-to-end support across your entire network and data center, all at lower prices and with the world-class customer service for which we are known. We understand the responsibility and faith our customers place in us when we are entrusted with such important work. With this merger, we are better equipped to enable IT freedom for our customers across the globe. SMS and Curvature both built solid foundations in IT services and we now turn those efforts to growing with you.

These efforts don’t stop with our merger, or our new name – they only multiply. We encourage you to reach out and keep in touch, because as we continue to grow, we’d love to continue the conversation.
