Leading Provider of Pre-Owned Networking Gear Expands Domestic Sales,
Network Services & Technical Support with Southwest Regional Location
Santa Barbara, Calif. ─ September 8, 2008 ─ Network Hardware Resale (NHR), the leading provider of pre-owned and new networking equipment, today announced a significant expansion of its domestic operations with the opening of a 20,000-square-foot facility in a suburb of Dallas.
The new office, located in Carrollton, Tex., will include both office and warehouse space to accommodate an ongoing rise of pre-owned network equipment sales as well as growing market momentum for NHR’s NetSure alternative hardware maintenance program. With hundreds of new service contracts since its debut earlier this year, NetSure provides around-the-clock technical support and advanced, next-day hardware replacement at substantial savings over traditional OEM contracts, such as Cisco’s SMARTnet program.
The new facility will house a team of networking experts and Cisco-certified technicians, who will lead NHR’s domestic NetSure support efforts, while the warehouse will be utilized as a primary depot for equipment spares and replacements. As a result, NHR can deliver highly responsive, customized coverage of current and previous-generation as well as end-of-life equipment, including popular Cisco’s 2600 Series and 3700 Series Routers along with Catalyst 2950 Series, 3550 Series and 6500 Series Switches.
“The pace of change is as fast as ever yet economic conditions are making it harder for IT departments to keep up,” explains Mike Sheldon, president and CEO of Network Hardware Resale. “The geographical advantages of Dallas and the ready access to a highly skilled regional workforce will reinforce our expansion efforts while ensuring that NHR continues to deliver maximum value with top-notch equipment and extremely responsive services at 50-to-90 percent off OEM list prices.”
Sara Harshbarger, director of services for NHR, will spearhead the new operation and oversee the company’s NetSure efforts to safeguard multi-manufacturer networks, including Cisco, Juniper, Foundry, and Extreme technologies. “The new office is centrally located in the Dallas area, which is ideal for expediting hardware sales, technical support and overnight replacements,” she says. “Establishing a local presence in the Southwest is the latest example of NHR’s unwavering commitment to meeting our customers’ evolving networking requirements.” The location also complements NHR’s other domestic locations in California and the New York City metro area along with international facilities in London, Amsterdam and Singapore.
NHR carries more than $200 million in inventory of pre-owned networking hardware, including routers, switches, access servers, security products, VoIP products, content and storage products as well as a full line of memory, modules and accessories. All NHR pre-owned equipment is backed by an industry-leading one-year warranty and tailored support to protect network core, distribution and access layers.
NHR’s new facility is located at 1625 Wallace Drive, Suite 130, Carrollton, Texas 75006. The phone number is 1.866.591.8268.
